While the Olympics are occurring, testimonies of American athletes are being distributed in China through various forms, including radio broadcasts from free countries surrounding China.

CARROLLTON, TEXAS, AUGUST 6, 2008 – Four Gospel for Asia missionaries being held in a Karnataka, India, jail have officially been granted bail. But a judge has added several hurdles that must still be crossed before the men are released.

Ethiopian Christians attacked by Muslim extremists E-mail

Some Christians recently faced an outraged Muslim mob in Eastern Ethiopia.

Jonathan Racho, with International Christian Concern, says it was a close call. "Two Christians who converted from Islam were going to a church meeting when they were confronted by nine extremist Muslims, and the Muslims were yelling anti-Christian slogans," Racho explains.

Missionary asked to denounce Christ E-mail

Buddhism is the official religion of Bhutan. The practice of the religion is very much a part of daily life in this Himalayan country.
BHUTAN  (ANS) -- Gospel for Asia (GFA) missionary Amil Romir refused to comply with a local government official's request to denounce Christ and discontinue his ministry in the small country of Bhutan.

Romir was summoned to the office of the local political leader. The man asked him to write a statement saying, "I will never preach about Jesus Christ and will never show the film on the life of Jesus Christ in this area."

SANTA ANA, CA (ANS) -- “There is no other country in the world where Christians are being persecuted in such a horrible and systematic manner. Often three generations of Christians are hunted down and killed or placed in prisons. The recent dialogue and concessions by North Korea won’t affect the believers in this hermit country ... North Korea has not softened its targeting of thousands of Christians one bit.”
