Tennessee fans got their first look at what the team's quarterback of the future is made of. Down 21-0 through three quarters, rookie QB Vince Young led the Titans to an improbable fourth quarter come-from-behind victory. Young tossed two touchdown passes, ran for another score and set up Rob Bironas' 49-yard game-winning field goal with 6 seconds remaining to stun the Giants 24-21. He finished with a career-high 249 passing yards and also ran for 69 yards on 10 attempts. "It's a sneak peek of what's to happen not just me, but this team in general," Young said. It was Tennessee's (4-7) second straight win, and fourth in its last six after starting the season 0-5.
