Ad Locations

The Chronicle Online sites all use standard formats as defined by the Interactive Advertising Bureau. These ad units are located in the same locations across all Chronicle web properties.

Half Banner – Two half banners are located just under the masthead on the page.

Vertical Banner – One vertical banner is in the top of the right hand column just below the masthead.

Square Button – There is space for up to three square buttons in the right column of the page just below the vertical banner.

Button 2 – Up to two Button 2 ads can be placed in the right column just below the square buttons.

Text Ad – One text ad is located just below the masthead, and between the half banners and the vertical banner. This text ad has one bold title of up to 20 characters (including spaces). Two lines of text follow with up to 20 characters (including spaces and special characters) on each line.

Micro Bar – Up to four Micro Bars are in the top left of the page just above the masthead.

Featured Link – The bottom of the left column on each page has up to five featured links. Each link can have up to 18 characters of text.
