An Indianapolis not-for-profit clothing design company, Africa By Design, will be hosting their 1st Annual Benefit Concert for Africa on Friday, March 2, 2007, from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Grace Assembly of God Church in Whiteland, Indiana. Africa By Design’s mission is to provide ministry opportunities, fair wages, and educational benefits to the nation of Africa through the manufacturing of American clothing designs along with vowing to help with HIV/AIDS relief as more than 28 million are infected throughout the nation of Africa. The primary purpose of the benefit concert is to raise funds for the Africa By Design team to travel to Cameroon in May, 2007, where they will meet with leaders to establish their manufacturing plant, seek out workers & other designers, and identify charitable organizations as potential partners. David’s wife, JoAnn, will join her husband on this trip. This design company was started by David Dellinger in April, 2006, based on his signature knitwear line that includes cable-knit handbags, vests, bible covers with their unique closures along with other handcrafted products such as beaded jewelry.
