ImageMEMPHIS – (February 22,2008) Dallas-based USA Radio Network, Inc., a privately held company, merged with the Information Radio Network based in Memphis, Tennessee. The new company will be called IRN/USA Radio Network and will have a combined affiliate base of almost 2500 radio stations. With the combined global reach of IRN and USA, this new news organization will be able to provide the most timely and relevant news and information to radio stations across the country. “Everyone at IRN and USA are very excited about this merger,” says Dr. Larry Bates, President of the Information Radio Network. Dr. Bates continues, “There exists a compatible corporate culture between the two companies that makes this a perfect fit. In our current radio climate, it is essential that organizations combine their strengths to compete more effectively and this is exactly what IRN and USA are doing.”

Vice President of the USA Radio Network, Tim Maddoux says, “I’m thrilled at the opportunity to join forces with such a well respected news organization. With our combined resources, the potential for growth is astounding.”

USA’s news operations will relocate to the Memphis newsroom but a bureau will still be maintained at the Dallas facility. All commercial sales, affiliate sales, affiliate relations and program syndication will remain in Dallas. Programming on both networks will remain unchanged and the official cut-over date will be Monday, March 3rd 2008.
